Off Their Trolleys!
The Piazza were delighted to take part in a Trolley Dolly Dash on Sunday 30th May.
Organised by Lorraine Corrigan of the Old Swan Inn, the Trolley Dash was part of the pub's annual fundraising for Maggies Cancer Care Centres, which raised over £2,000 last year - and it's hoped that this total will be smashed this year to raise even more money for the cause.
Twelve trolleys took part in the race from a number of local businesses, including the Piazza, The Bankhouse, Somerfield and the Old Swan itself.
Represented by Dirom McIntyre and Charlie Kearney as 'Mum and Baby', The Piazza came second in their heat - but they're still winners to us!

Piazza Sponsor School Travel Plan Awards
The Piazza were delighted to sponsor the Best Cycling Initiative category at Renfrewshire Council's first ever School Travel Plan Awards.
The awards recognise schools and individuals who work hard to encourage walking or cycling to school, who have shown a dedicated commitment to changing the behaviour of people travelling to and from their school and who are an inspiration to others.
Cllr Marie McGurk, Convener of Renfrewshire Council's Environment and Infrastructure Policy Board, was joined by Clyde One's popular breakfast show DJ George Bowie to present the awards at a glittering ceremony in Paisley Town Hall.
Cllr McGurk said: "These were our first School Travel Plan Awards and they were a great success. It has been wonderful to hear of all the hard work carried out by all the winners and finalists to encourage their fellow pupils, their families and their local communities to think about sustainable, safe travel to and from schools.."
Maureen Hill, Piazza Centre Manager, said:
“The Piazza are delighted to be sponsors of the Best Cycling Initiative category - it’s a great idea to bring together healthy living and road safety, and the inaugural School Travel Plan Award are a great way of celebrating the efforts of our local schools."
